Who is the CBB

Our website braille.nl has hopefully given you a better idea of all the possibilities in the field of braille. But you might wonder who is the organisation behind braille.nl. Who is the CBB?

The CBB is an independent and specialist library – the only one in the Netherlands – that makes Christian reading matter available in appropriate forms for people with reading disabilities.
The CBB is based on the principle that a reading disability should constitute no obstacle to participating fully in the church and society in all its facets. All reading matter that is available to sighted people, must – as far as its financially viable – also be accessible to people with reading disabilities.
We therefore have a large collection of Christian literature in spoken form on daisy CD-ROM and Webbox, in braille and available in both large print and digital form.

The CBB is regarded by the tax authorities as a Public Benefit Organisation and therefore has the so-called ANBI-status. We are a non-profit organisation that supplies products to its clients at cost price.

Would you like to know more about the CBB and about our collection, please take a look at the website the CBB.nl. Here you will find extensive information about the CBB, our mission and our way of working.
